What is Floating Multitasking?

    Apple, Google are working for similar desktop experiences. Having Floating Applications means open apps like on Windows or macOS in a floating window. This allow users to use them and switch them quickly. This is what Floating Multitasking means. Fluid experience of switching apps, moving them around and resize them.

    What is Floating Multitasking?

    Multitasking usually refer to the concept that one can split their attention on more than one task or activity at the same time, such as speaking on the phone while driving a car.
    Or developing software using 2 -3 Programming Languages on different projects. Playing music while designing something. It can also apply to usage of smartphone, tablet. Users who use several applications in the same time and switch them quickly can be considered as Multitasking.
    That’s why in laptops which more powerful computer than a smartphone you can open lots of applications simultaneously.

    iPad OS Multitasking

    With iPadOS, you can use Multitasking to work with more than one app at the same time. Learn how to use the new Multitasking menu, the Dock, and Spotlight to work with multiple apps.

    Split View: In Split View, two apps appear side-by-side. You can resize the apps by dragging the slider that appears between them.

    Slide Over: With Slide Over, one app appears in a smaller floating window that you can drag to the left or right side of your screen.

    Center Window: In some apps, you can open a center window that lets you focus on a specific item, such as an email or a note.

    How to use the Multitasking menu to open multiple iPad apps

    1. Open an app.
    2. Tap the Multitasking button ios15 ellipses multitask icon at the top of the screen.
    3. Tap the Split View button multitask split view icon or the Slide Over button multitask slide over icon. The current app moves aside and your Home Screen appears.
    4. Tap a second app on your Home Screen. (Swipe left or right to see apps on your other Home Screen pages. You can also tap an app in your Dock.)
      • If you chose Split View, the second app appears side-by-side with the current app.
      • If you chose Slide Over, the second app opens full-screen and the current app moves to a smaller window that you can move to the right or left side of your screen.

    Floating Folders; Open the app and type a folder name, then select which app you want inside it and you will have Floating Folders.

    Floating Widgets; Go to Widgets section and configure widget you need then click to have them as Floating Widgets.

    Floating Applications; This is The Edge Of Floating Multitasking… Using this application you can open all apps from floating shortcuts as floating applications!
